    What is a Porcelain Veneer?

    Porcelain veneers commonly used as a treatment modality for Smile Enhancement are wafer thin shells of ceramic that are bonded to the teeth with adhesive resins in order to change the colour, tooth position, form or shape and enhance the smile with an aesthetic appearance. They provide strength and resilience, which is comparable to natural tooth enamel. Almost no to minimal preparation of the teeth is required for the fabrication of porcelain veneers

    What is the Procedure involved?

    Placement of porcelain veneers is one that requires the skill, precision, and artistic ability of a talented cosmetic dentist and a dental lab technician who work together to deliver to you a highly aesthetic smile.

    The entire process will be completed in as little as 2-3 dental sittings.

    In the first visit, we will design your smile for you by determining what size, shape, colour and type of veneer will best complement your smile, face shape, and cosmetic desires. We will take pictures and study models to study your case. We will send these study models to the lab.

    The lab will provide us with a wax-up and we will do a mock up for you to show you the final outcome of what your veneers will look like before we begin the treatment.

    The same day itself we shall prepare your teeth for the final Veneers and take impressions that we shall be sending to a state of the art Dental technological Laboratory. Since the Dental Laboratory is at close proximity to our dental center, we may take you to the laboratory so that thedental technician and we can synergistically work deciding the best aesthetic outcome for you.

    This sets us apart from the rest because we take into account every minute detail and spend all efforts to get you the perfect smile that you desire.

    On your second visit the final veneers will be permanently bonded to your teeth with special dental adhesive resins. This is the final step in your smile transformation, and you can leave our center with a brand new, beautiful smile.

    Do Porcelain Veneers stain?

    No. Porcelain veneers will never stain

    How long do they last and how can I take care of them?

    Porcelain Veneers can last up to 20 years. With regular oral hygiene maintenance and dental check-ups, your porcelain veneers will remain as good as new.

    If you are a grinder, please make sure you inform us so that we can fabricate a nightguard for you which will help protect your veneers from any chips and make sure they last for a very long time!

    Any other option besides porcelain veneers?

    One sitting Composite veneers is also an option available. They are more cost effective as compared to porcelain veneers. However these have a limited life span and are recommended, for a quick fix. Composite veneers also stain easily over time as compared to porcelain veneers. Porcelain veneers are generally preferred as a more permanent and aesthetic option!
